1. SDA (Safdarjung Development Area) Market: Just across the main gate of IIT Delhi, SDA is a famous hangout spot with an array of eateries to choose from. You can enjoy live music at some restaurants during the weekends. You can also find some saloons here. Fun Fact: Irrespective of time, you can catch hold of your colleagues or students hanging out at SDA! How to reach: Exit from the Main Gate of IITD, cross the underpass, and you are there.

2. Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj: This is one of the city’s most admired shopping centers. It’s home to hundreds of brands from across the world. There is also a mutiplex which can quench your thirst for Bollywood drama and Hollywood action. Tip: Tickets for morning shows cost less than those for evening or night shows! Sometimes, Thursday tickets are also discounted. How to reach: Chhatarpur Metro Station (Yellow Line) is nearest metro station, but the mall is 5-6 km away from the metro station. A good option would be to book a cab (e.g. Uber, Ola) which will take around 15 minutes to drop you at the gate of the mall. Download Uber/Ola app from playstore/ in your phone.
